Third day of Tech. Still hunched over in this chair that I've become close friends with. Still cold and still sleepy. However, we are trudging forward with steely determination. Our company is tired and still facing unforeseen issues. And yet, from where I am sitting, things are looking pretty good, a couple of updates and a little of experimenting here and there but no major changes and only a page and a half of notes!
Still, I feel bad for Michael, the technical aspects of his design are more demanding in real life than they anticipated. But that Is the name of the game. There is a fine balance in trying to bring conceptual designs into the real world. And unfortunately, there are certain compromises that have to be made.
But that is why they are the experts, and why we are merely students that have the honor to learn from their eons of experience.
Personally, I have grown exponentially from taking on the role as Michael's programmer. My speed and accuracy rival my speed typing this very blog post. I cannot express to Michael just how grateful I am for letting him take on this challenge. Simply put, there is a lot happening all at once with this musical, and I have to be honed in on Michael's commands, otherwise I will miss something or make a stupid mistake that will only cost us more time in the near future.
And right now, time is not our friend.
But for now, that is all. Time to get back to programming.
